How's your
eyesight? We were amazed to read
in a recent survey that many people are
either wearing the wrong glasses or haven't
had their eyes tested within the last 5
years. Apparently it's mainly the over 40's
who are guilty - struggling on for years
before admitting things are becoming difficult
or hanging on to glasses that were prescribed
years before when they've outlived their
usefulness.
With the advent of off-the-supermarket-shelf
reading glasses it seems many for us are
opting for this method rather than having
our eyes properly tested. Don't forget that
along with testing for good eyesight many
other important checks are carried out at
the opticians and any problems can be early
diagnosed. So make it a New Years resolution
to book an appointment in the coming months,
you could be doing yourself a big favour.

from nature and include wonderful essences
such as peach nectar and Echinacea.
The formulas feature organic Quinoa protein,
which helps to promote strong, healthy hair
and lovely botanicals to smooth and protect
with gorgeous aromas which last on the hair.
Choose from Colour, Smooth, Volume and Hydra
- there will be a product to suit your individual
hair type.
This really
cold weather is causing havoc to
most people's nails. A combination of icy
cold and centrally heated rooms causes nails
to dry out to the point of brittleness,
causing snapping, often so low down as to
be painful. Do try to moisturize the nails
on a daily basis - if you don't use hand
cream regularly then at least moisturize
before bedtime.
Leighten Denny has a wonderful moisturizing
system, or try OPI Avoplex treatment oil
which is a fabulous salon professional product
which gives great results. If you're on
a budget use a small spritz of Johnson's
baby oil spray, a little goes a long way,
on naked nails at night or over your manicure
if you prefer. Moisturising will really
help with dry cracked cuticles which can
become a long-term problem if not treated
early.
