The new Global Keratin Brazilian blow dry is a specialist taming treatment from Brazil and unlike some permanent smoothing treatments, Global Keratin is formaldehyde-free and infused with vitamins, collagen and keratin (the same protein that naturally occurs in hair), to calm, condition and define damaged and unmanageable hair for up to five months and guess what ladies, it really works! You can even have the treatment if your hair has been coloured or highlighted.

How does the Brazilian blow dry work
UKhairdressers sent one of our colleagues along to try out the treatment for herself. Vikki has thick, naturally curly red hair and normally spends an hour taming her shoulder length locks each day. Her hair was in good condition, as over a year had passed since her "blondes have more fun" phase, and she had returned to her lovely natural colour.
Vikki tells us how her treatment went at ColourNation London:
"Brad my stylist cut my hair first and then the Brazilian blow dry treatment took about two hours. Once applied to my hair it starts rebuilding the cuticles on every strand of hair. A blow-dry followed, and my hair was then sealed with straightening irons to complete the process. After treatment hair can be styled and even coloured if required and as the product progressively fades away with each wash, there's no damage or build-up and no 're-touching', plus the treatment can be repeated as often as required."

| Starting underneath at the back, he repeatedly straightened each section, working his way round and then on to the top layers - this sealed the treatment into the hair and completed the process. Then all that was left to do was to admire the results...smooth, ultra sleek hair in fabulous condition. |

After the Brazilian blow dry
Vikki gives us her comments in the days following her session at the ColourNation salon:
"Having had the treatment on a Wednesday afternoon, my stylist told me to keep my hair as dry as possible and not to wash it until the Sunday. Typically the heavens opened on my way home from the salon and I frantically tried to keep my hair dry using every means possible - carrier bag - old Mother Hubbard headscarf (where was my lap top when I needed it?!), but it was well worth the effort. By Sunday I've got to admit that I was desperate to wash my hair, but when I did, I just couldn't believe the difference, normally I spend at least 30 minutes, tugging and blowing with my salon professional hairdryer and then another 30 minutes with my ghd's, but all I had to do was literally waft my hair with the dryer and a quick once over with the straightener and the result was fantastic, I had achieved that 'just stepped out of the salon look' in literally no time at all.
I would definitely recommend this treatment, to anyone who longs for shiny, straight well-conditioned hair. I can style mine with lots of bounce for 'party' nights, but can also achieve that straight sleek look - whichever the mood takes me.
The Brazilian blow dry treatment is like a valium for hair - and guess what I'm truly addicted!"
