Rush open 50th Salon 
RUSH London have launched their
50th salon
in West London’s Earls Court Road.
 The landmark opening follows an outstanding year of growth and achievement for the group, who opened an impressive 16 salons in 2009 as well as having been awarded the much coveted title of British Hairdressing Awards Colourist of the Year 2009/10.
 After 15 years of support RUSH want to give something back to the community and have teamed up with Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital to take part in their ingenious HAIRraising campaign. All 50 RUSH Hair and Health & Beauty salons will be holding charity events throughout April and May to raise money that can make a real contribution to the great work the hospital does.
With the milestone opening of RUSH Earls Court Road comes the introduction of an exciting, innovative new scheme – RUSH rewards. This is designed to reward clients for their loyalty. This, alongside outstanding customer service and superior training, will ensure that all expectations of RUSH Earls Court Road will be exceeded.
 The salon has been designed with clients needs in mind. Stunning interiors create a warm ambiance and the ultimate in relaxation. Each appointment begins with a Personal Style Consultation before being led to the deluxe spa area for a relaxing scalp massage. Clients can then sit back with their choice of magazines and complimentary refreshments whilst their transformation begins. Home care advice and a fantastic range of home care products including Kerastase and the exclusive brand Shu Uemura, are available to keep hair looking and feeling fabulous for longer.
With the busy cosmopolitan clientele the salon hopes to attract in mind, they have tailored their services and opening hours to suit. With the salon open until 8pm Monday to Friday, with the exception of Thursday which is open to 9pm, 6pm on Saturdays and 10 – 6pm on Sundays, there is no excuse not to visit RUSH Earls Court Road for the ultimate hairdressing experience.

 RUSH Session Team at London Fashion Week
While fashion editors, bloggers and buyers from around the globe took their front row seats at London Fashion Week, the RUSH Session Team were busy backstage creating hair with energy, personality and attitude - the RUSH way.
 Led by acclaimed editorial hairdresser Tina Farey, the RUSH Session team took London Fashion Week by storm, creating a fusion of intricate, delicate and natural hair to complement shows from designers Belle Sauvage and Ramon Gurillo at On|Off. The platform, sponsored by L’Oreal Professional Portfolio, is London’s leading showcase for design talent.
 BELLE SAUVAGE
Created in 2008 by designers Virginia Ferreira and Christian Neuman, the label already boasts the likes of Lady Gaga, La Roux, Sugarbabes, VV Brown, The Tings Tings, and Kate Perry as fans.
Belle Sauvage’s powerful A/W 2010 collection, inspired by the industrial imagery of German expressionism in the 1920s, offered up a mixture of classic and futuristic featuring heavy machinery prints. Contradictions were big, with soft chiffons, jersey and crepe meeting strong, structured leather. Hair was high tech and industrial with an edge of science fiction.
“The RUSH Session Team understood our vision to perfection, they were punctual, positive and relaxed! We are really grateful to Stell, Tina and the rest of the team and we hope we can work together again next season!” said Virginia Ferreira.
Tina Farey, RUSH Session Team said: ‘The hair created for the show was very futuristic to reflect the style and energy of the collection. Alien inspired elongated shapes were softened with side plaits, to create a shape which will be very popular in Autumn Winter 2010.’
RAMON GURILLO
The collection, entitled ‘Where the Birds Always Sing,’ saw technically intricate knitwear designs take on a punkish edge.
To complement this, the RUSH Session Team created a polished-yet-grunge look by smoothing the hair to cheekbone level with Techni.art shine spray, then scrunching the longer lengths of the hair up into hairnets using Techni.art Pli spray. Once dry the hairnets were removed the hair was brushed through to create even more texture. Strong centre partings completed the look.
Ramon commented: “I was very happy to work with the RUSH Session Team – they are very professional and created a great atmosphere. I loved the result and the look of the hair for the show, they understood exactly what I wanted and they are my favourite hair team right now”
Sam Burnett, RUSH Session Team: “There was an amazing energy surrounding the show. We tried to capture the essence of the collection in the hair by emulating it in a pretty yet slightly punk way. This easy to wear look is going to be huge.”
To add to the excitement the RUSH Session Team were invited to Fashion TV’s Up and Coming show, where 6 unknown designers presented their collections to an audience filled with the likes of Miss World, once again creating an array of show stopping looks.
