It's at this time of year that our thoughts turn to sun protection. We are all now aware of how harmful the suns rays can be both to health and to beauty. Obviously we should all be protecting ourselves from damage whilst we are enjoying the sunshine, but we would all like an easy, foolproof method of doing so.

By far the easiest method is to use a high factor, once a day product that will last throughout sunbathing, sightseeing and even swimming. Ultrasun does just that! This range of products provides excellent protection for every skin type and need and can be used for the whole family, including babies.

Take time to select your sun cream carefully before you buy making sure you get exactly the right protection for you. Then apply in confidence knowing you are protected for the whole day. Obviously, sensible sun rules still apply - taking shade breaks, avoiding the mid-day sun, keeping hydrated and always, always covering children's skin adequately.

Ultrasun protection should ideally be applied at least 10 minutes before going into the sunshine to avoid evaporation and the correct SPF should be chosen. Follow our guide to ensure a happy and healthy summer.

Ultrason Sports 20 - a non-greasy, clear liquid, non-staining and waterproof. Ideal for men as the gel formula will not clog on hair area. Also great, for shaved or thinning scalps. This factor will suit those who do not burn too easily but is not ideally suited to children.

Ultrasun Family 30 - this cream formula is an excellent choice for all members of the family including children and is especially suited to those with a sensitive skin. The air-less pump dispenser prevents product deterioration and gives ease of use.

Ultrasun Face 30 - although all Ultrasun products can be used on the face, this formula contains the very latest in anti-ageing properties and can be used in summer in place of or in addition to regular moisturizer. It's oil-free, perfume free quality makes it suitable even for sensitive skins.

Ultrasun Sports 30 Spray - again a clear liquid formula especially suited to those who prefer not to use a cream. Will suit those who need a higher factor than the Sports 20 or those who have outdoor jobs or engage in water sports.

Ultrasun Ultra Sensitive 50+ - delivers really high, effective protection for those who burn easily and for all children and babies. This formula is easily applied without the white, clogging nature of other high factor creams, and offers the optimum level of protection under extreme sun conditions. This is the most suitable formula for all children, those with very pale porcelain skins and red-heads who freckle easily.

Ultrasun Ultralip 15 - this lip protector is effective in all temperatures and at high altitude and protects the delicate skin on the lips which can be extremely damaged by the sun. Needs to be re-applied through-out the day as necessary, and is ideal for protection under lipstick.

Ultrasun are confident that there is an excellent product to suit you in their range, and whilst we all enjoy the 'sun-kissed' look on the skin, remember that sunburn never, ever looks good, and sunburn on children is definitely frowned upon!
