A
Day in the Life of Leo Bancroft
We caught up with Leo recently and found out about the fast paced life of
a top professional hairdresser - here's a glimpse into his busy diary as
we join him for a day
07.00 - Up bright and early with my two little kids so I can have breakfast
with them and my wife before a busy day at the salon.
08.00
- Drive to the salon to spend the morning in the office
08.30 - Receive a phone call from my good friend John Terry who is
looking for a last minute haircut
09.00 - Meet John in his house where I cut a Mohican into his hair
for his next big football match.
11.00 - I arrive back into the salon where my team are already well
underway with the day's appointments. We have got new Shu Uemura products
into the salon and all the clients are really excited and are dying
to try them out.
11.15 - I head to the office to spend some time organising the trip
to Milan for the next photoshoot. After winning Southern Hairdresser
of the Year last year, I am inspired to create another award winning
collection and there is no better place to find inspiration than in
Milan.
|
All
in a days work, Leo's good friend John Terry requested a
home visit to style his hair.
|
|
12.00 - Meet
with the organisers for the fundraising ball I am holding to raise money
for HAIRaising later on in the year. I am so excited about this event as
it will raise money for a very worthwhile cause within Great Ormond Street
and will give the team and my family and friends a chance to party.
|
13.30
- Back onto the salon floor as I have a couple of appointments with
two of my regular clients. I have been talking to my clients about
fresh new summer styles to wear at the beach or at home. I think the
style of the season is the tousled ponytail.
15.30 - We have a new Senior Stylist starting in the salon tomorrow
so I need to make sure we are organised for welcoming her into the
team. We are all so excited about meeting her.
16.00 - I am popping home to see the family before I set off on my
travels
17.00 - At the end of a busy day, I jump on the train to London as
I am off to an industry awards evening. This is always so much fun
as you meet so many different people from the industry and it is great
to be around so many creative people.
|
22.00 - At
last I am heading home after a very busy day to get some rest in preparation
for doing it all over again tomorrow.
|
Our
thanks to Leo for sharing his day with us - his energy, enthusiasm
and talent are totally inspiring.
