The winners of the
L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2009


Inspiration from the catwalks of London, Paris, Milan and New York was celebrated in style at the recent L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Grand Final in London.

The talent and dedication of British hairdressers was honoured by over 1,300 of the world’s most esteemed hairdressers and press as the winner’s of the industry’s most coveted and prestigious hairdressing competition were announced.

The audience reacted to presenter Gethin Jones with rapturous delight and his charming wit captivated the room, ensuring an electrifying and upbeat atmosphere for the whole evening.

Triumphant on the night, carrying off the coveted L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy 2009, was the team from Rogue Hair in Belfast. Their stunning copper bob, inspired by architectural shape and form, was an absolute sensation.
Second place went to Ramsay and Johnson in Sunderland. Toni&Guy;, Oxford Circus came in a close third.

L’Oréal Professionnel Men’s Image Award This hotly-contested went to West Row in Harrogate who combined classic style with a twist in order to produce clean lines and a subtle colour.

Kudos the Kreative Hair Company from Preston scooped the runner-up prize in this category.


The L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy - Young Colourist Award was won by Chloe Oakes of Jakata in Warrington. Her effervescent personality and bold, vibrant choice of colour stole the judges’ hearts and ensured her talent stood out for all the right reasons.

New for 2009, the Mizani Afro Catwalk Look Award competitors set an ultra-stylish benchmark for the future of the category. Craig Chapman Hair Design from Launceston walked away with the title thanks to his double-textured look that combined smooth lines, structure and catwalk-inspired clothes styling by designer Aminaka Wilmot.
