Get
the Celebrity Look with
Cheryl
Cole
In order for Cheryl Cole to achieve the mega tousled
look she had a helping hand from some additional hair-pieces;
not for length but to add volume and substance.
It’s simple to achieve this style, just towel dry
wet hair and comb through some Mousse. Tip your head
upside down and using a diffuser attachment on your
hairdryer dry your hair naturally, avoiding “scrunching”
too much, as you don’t want the 80’s perm look.
If your hair does not have any of its own natural
movement or you want to enhance the look, then take
random large sections of hair and wrap them around
a large conical hot styling wand.

Sarah Jessica Parker
Even if you don’t have masses of long hair, this regal
looking, glamorous red carpet hair do is achievable!
The style is entirely based around one high ponytail.
Multiple hair padding and donuts have then been pinned
around the base and the hair from the ponytail is then
wrapped over and around the padding, pinned into place.
If your hair is not long enough to cover the padding,
hairpieces can be matched to your natural hair colour.
SJP has gone for the slightly un-done glamour, rather
than slicking the hair back ballerina style, this is
achieved by pinching and ruffling the hair around her
face to produce a more dishevelled finish. |

Paloma
Faith
Paloma’s fiery red hair is bang on trend this season,
and the enormous rockabilly quiff is testament to her
kooky individualism. Always one to look stunning, Faith
exudes edginess by pushing the boundaries with way-out
hairstyles.
This style has been achieved by prepping the hair with
plenty of full-bodied mouse and thickening blow-dry
lotion and rough drying to create lots of texture in
the hair. The hair is then back brushed (a softer version
than back –combing) and gathered high on her head. Some
large, long hair padding has been pinned to the top
of her head; extending over the forehead and her hair
has been rolled around and pinned in place to create
the quiff.
Texture is key to this look, it would not be as cool
if it were sleek and perfect. |
Imelda May
This Elvis inspired rockabilly coil is a defining feature
for Imelda May. She has a slice of peroxide blonde at
the front of her hair with the rest of her hair tinted
black for the perfect contrast. Her style is sleek and
purposefully severe.
Her hair has been blow-dried very smooth using a smoothing
balm and glossing serum. A rectangle section, temple,
to temple and back to the crown has been left out and
the rest of the hair scraped back into a sleek ponytail.
The excluded hair has then been tonged around a large
barrel tong and pinned into the perfect pin-curl, showing
off the contrast in colour.

Eliza
Doolittle
Doolittle’s quirky style is not to be taken too seriously.
She often mixes dressy outfits with hi-top trainers,
so her hair has to go with this carefree attitude.
She fortunately has been blessed with beautiful long
dark curly hair, and she is most often seen with it
looking completely natural. This style is achieved by
diffuse drying naturally curly hair, and using a little
glossing serum to take away any frizz.
If you don’t have natural curls but want to achieve
this look, grab a Babyliss mini barrel tong and systematically
take small sections of hair, wrapping each section till
it is too hot to touch, spray each section with hair
spray to ensure your curls last all day and night. |
Kate
Hudson
If you’re feeling playful but need a chic up do why
not try a bun like Kate Hudson and add a twist to this
classic style.
Simple and perfect for the non-perfectionist, divide
the front section of the hair and roughly French plait
back from a side parting. Pin into place. Smooth the
rest of the hair back into a low bun and secure with
pins.
Add a touch or serum for a shimmering red carpet gloss.

Pixie Lott
This season statement hair is massive, rough, and carefree
but still oh so glamorous.
For an edgy, party look that screams Pixie Lott use
a dry shampoo to give hair some body at the root, and
gently backcomb for fluffy volume.
Next plait the hair and secure with a band. Use your
fingers to tease the hair gently out of the plait for
a messed-up feel.
Spritz the whole style with a light hold hairspray to
keep it all in place. |
Rihanna
You don’t have to have bright red locks to be as on
trend as Rihanna so why not copy her easy to achieve
style that looks glam with minimum effort.
To achieve her uber glam spirals, part your locks in
the centre and use a full body mouse to add as much
volume to the roots as possible.
Then tong a small section of hair into a barrel curl
and spritz with a strong hairspray to hold.

Olivia
Palermo
This gorgeous style is easy to achieve with regular
use of a conditioning treatment, to ensure your hair
is looking youthful and shiny.
Then use a smoothing product on wet hair and blow dry
using a paddle brush for a sleek look with a centre
parting.
Once the hair is dry, take big barrelled tongs and take
large sections of hair and just curl the ends around
(going no higher than ear level) for the beautiful bouncy
finish’ |
