About four years ago Mahogany’s Creative Team presented a

to the occasion even though it was really hard work for everyone.
It was creatively very rewarding.

What
is your favourite purchase from Salon International?
The technowash backwash units from the Aston & Fincher stand.
We were almost ready to go home and I walked past these amazing
units. I decided to ‘test’ them out and just loved them immediately.
We wanted them for our new salon in Cambridge and were looking
for something that gave us an exciting USP (unique selling
point). With their individual chrometherapy screens and individual
sounds systems. To date we have bought about 20 units.
What
is your best Salon International memory?
I watched my partner Skyler McDonald do her FAME team presentation.
She is from Texas and so decided to do this native American
theme. She made this awesome head dress and even made a TEEPEE
tent which she installed on to the stage. I just loved her
determination and attention to detail. It was my best Salon
International moment ever.

experience.

Nergish Wadia-Austin will be presenting Back to Basics – Profitable
Customer Care at Business Extra sponsored by Salon Genius

What
do you love most about Salon International?
Are you kidding me?.... What’s not to love?.... The fact that
it is International for a start, the fact that it attracts
a melting pot of ’creative types’ from all around the globe.
Industry Legends, fashion and trends at their best, laid bare
for all to see!
Why
will visitors love Salon International even more this year?
For a start it is held in the most wonderful and vibrant city
in the world - London and then there is the fact that it has
the young, the old, the greats, the innovations, the boundary
pushing shows, the business lectures, the product innovations,
the sparkle, the witty banter, the demonstrations, the charitable
undertone, the sharing of information, the learning, the sharpening
of scissors (both proverbial and actual), the mingling, the
international trade press, the sampling, the colours, the
music, the market-place like relaxed atmosphere, the ’Industry
Icons’ milling about, the governing bodies, the excitement
and the manufacturers with their latest wares.....what more
can one ask for?
Which
Salon International experience do you love the most?
For me it has to be the fact that, year after year, industry
business experts such as myself, are invited to speak on a
topic that most effects trade in the industry and something
that is said at a session here, at Salon International’s Business
Extra Seminar can make such a positive difference to a business
half way around the globe, never ceases to amaze me.
What
is your best Salon International memory?
Last year I remember being in awe of the fact that I was part
of this huge event where people from all parts of our industry
were busy basking in the creativity and vibrancy on offer
and I saw three of my industry mentors/legends walking about
mingling with the crowd, chatting away to people, who have
probably only ever read about them in the journals and fashion
pages of consumer magazines and the smiles on their faces
because they were ’star-struck’ was a real treat.
You
should visit Salon International because…………
Where else in the world could industry learning, sharing,
innovation, talent spotting and business be so beautifully
presented over such a short period of time?...In such a professional
manner?....And in such a magnificent city?,,,, It never disappoints!
