On Monday 28th June the UK's most talented and acclaimed hairdressers will gather for the industries longest running and most prestigious hairdressing competition in the country. Over 1200 photographic entries have been whittled down to an exciting 60 grand finalists through a phenomenal regional tour of seven locations nationwide and a LIVE UK Final. The peak of this artistic journey will be brought to a show stopping conclusion when the exclusive four winners are chosen to take the crowns as the L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy, L'Oréal Professionnel Men's Image, L'Oréal Professionnel Young Colourist and Mizani Afro Catwalk Award 2010 winners.

Hotly contested

Throughout April the country's most fashion forward and ambitious hairdressers took their talent to the runway and confirmed their status as leaders in creative colour.
Over 450 salon teams from across seven regions gathered to demonstrate a combination of fashion savoir?faire with technical excellence in the bid to achieve the highest accolade in fashion inspired, British hairdressing.

The judging panels for each of the competitions combined some of the UK's hairdressing elite with Carolyn Newman, Karen Dodds, Mark Creed, Charles Worthington, Alan Edwards, Mark Wooley, Errol Douglas and Trevor Sorbie all on?board to ensure the quality of finalists were unrivalled.

Tres chic with a kick
Each competitor had just 30 minutes to prepare and present an overall look that is catwalk inspired with a sharp technical edge, their key hairdressing skills were merged with catwalk?led styling and immaculate make?up to create a look that was tres chic with a kick. Only seven teams from each of the regions made it through to the Grand Final and they are all listed below.

Grand Final Night
The L'Oréal Professional Colour Trophy 2010, now in its 55th year is established as the longest running and most style conscious hair competition. The final overall look creatively integrated the key Autumn / Winter 2010 catwalk trends into the hair concept with an appreciation of wearable style.
Having now secured their place in the elite group of grand finalists, they will each prepare to present their winning look on a monster runway alongside finalists from across the UK at the highly anticipated L'Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy Grand Final.

This stylish event is happening on 28th June inside the dazzling Grosvenor House Ballroom, Park Lane, London and is created to assemble some of the countries freshest and most exciting hairdressing talent together to celebrate 'hair inspired by fashion'.

Highly acclaimed hairdresser and judge on the panel Trevor Sorbie MBE comments:
"It's amazing to see the styling, make-up, colour and cut merge together flawlessly in the competition, the winners in each Region really brought these elements together to create a total look of Hair Inspired by Fashion. The competitors each pushed the boundaries of colour technique and displayed exciting originality."

Award Winning Designer - David Koma
The regional events remained on the pulse of fashion with a stunning fashion show from the acclaimed super?star designer David Koma, MA Graduate of Central St Martins. The award winning designer showcased his highly acclaimed collections on the tour with exclusive pieces worn by celebrity style icons and devoted Koma fans such as Lady Gaga, Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, Beyonce and Megan Fox.

A Year of Dreams awaits the talented winners
New for 2010, this year's overall winner for The L'Oréal Professional Colour Trophy and L'Oréal Professional Men's Image Award will experience an unparalleled prize of 'A Year of Dreams' with a tailor?made calendar of bespoke opportunities that will help them take their talent and their business to the next level creating the path that the winners strive to follow.
