ITV2's
Katie & Peter Unleashed -
Feature UKHairdressers Crisis Measures
|
Katie
and Peter Andre have discovered how much fun UKHairdressers.com site is
and are testing out some of the hair quick fix remedies from our "Crisis
Measures" page on their Friday chat show.
The solutions to hair problems have been sent in by our web visitors and
range from things you would find in the jungle, where Katie and Peter
first met and fell in love, through to items in the kitchen or drinks
cabinet and even a Pritt stick can offer staying power for wayward curls!!
|
Although
some of the crisis measures only offer a temporary reprieve from your
bad hair day, they can help you out if your favourite product was finished
off by another member of the family!
Lee Ryan, joins Katie and Peter on the show to talk about life after "Blue".
The hunky singer famously left the band in 2005, saying he was sick of
miming.
He still manages to raise the temperature by tackling Katie in a fireman's
lift, quite a handful for Lee and an eyeful for viewers.
|
|
For
anyone watching the programme who would like to add further realism to
their fully HD ready vision of Katie's outstanding assets and feel as
though Katie is really in their lounge - a quick dab of her new perfume
"Stunning" should do the trick!
|
Also
guesting on the show, Pete Burns who is no stranger to face and hair remedies
of one sort or another. The former front man of the group Dead or Alive,
has been followed by the strains of his 80's hit "You Spin Me Round" ever
since.
Right: a picture of Pete before all the plastic surgery.
Far Right: a more recent image.

Here's a few
of the handy tips from our Crisis Measures page (see the rest under the
Hair Advice section on the home page menu).
|
Egg
Head? |
|
Ran out of shampoo? Beat two fresh eggs in a cup of warm water. Massage
the mixture through your hair. Leave on for ten to fifteen minutes then
rinse with tepid water.
Warning: Don't use hot water to rinse hair or you'll end up with
scrambled egg on your hair!

Pritt
Stick |
|
I
recommend Pritt stick for those unwanted curls. Rinse hair with warm water
to remove.

|
Banana |
|
For
a brilliant deep conditioning treatment liquidize a banana, add some wheatgerm
oil, and a few drops of aromatherapy oil (to counteract the banana smell)
spread through middle to end of hair lengths and leave for a while. Wash
and condition hair as normal after, and Voila! silky soft tresses.

Coke |
|
Yes,
coke! Pour a can of Coke (Sprite if you are blonde) into a spray bottle
with some water then mist onto damp hair. This creates a very sexy texture.

Kodo
Sakarra Hair Straightener
|
This
is the product we've been waiting for - taking hair straightening to a
whole new art form. The Sakarra by Kodo fully automatic 220°C styler is
the first of the new generation of Ceramic Stylers. People are giving
up their GHD's for these they're so good.
|
|
Using
the breakthrough HEATSMART™ technology, it provides the ultimate in styling
performance without risk of overheating. No other straightener gets hotter,
faster and with complete safety.
Ultimate Styling Performance
Sakarra by Kodo leaves hair with a high gloss lustre, looking shiny, fresh
and well balanced. 220°C is the optimum temperature for fast styling.
Because hair becomes straight in a single pass, styling time can be reduced
by half - or even more. And because the Ionic technology replenishes moisture
in the hair cortex, the straightness lasts longer.
