The British
Beauty & Spa Awards, presented by Health and Beauty Salon magazine, have
for the past 13 years rewarded and recognised the best in the beauty and
spa industries. The awards reflect the way in which the beauty industry
has developed over recent years. Categories celebrate both business acumen
and hands-on treatments and procedures from salons, spas and individuals
within the British beauty industry.
"The beauty and spa industries have grown and developed tremendously and
the British Beauty & Spa Awards have grown in line with their development,"
comments Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Health and Beauty Salon, Jayne Lewis-Orr.
"From the outset, we wanted to recognise and reward excellence, innovation
and professionalism by businesses and individuals within the beauty industry.
This year we received a particularly high number of entries, making the
judges' task extremely difficult."
The
judging for the British Beauty & Spa Awards takes place over two days,
where representatives from the sponsoring companies, along with industry
experts are split into groups to read through the dossiers, ensuring
that the criteria is met before selecting the six finalists in each
category. Judges cannot confer with one another during the judging
process, with the individual judges marking all entries independently.
This year there were five new inductees to the British Beauty & Spa
Awards Hall of Fame. This unique award is presented to salons, spas
or individuals who have won the same category three times; Sara Shoemark
for Salon Director Award, Zen Lifestyle for Salon of the Year North
West & Scotland, Glow for the Retail Award, Revival Retreat for the
Training Award and Clare |

they should all be justifiably proud that their achievements have been recognised
