UKHairdressers Style Gallery Winners 2008
Reviewing
the hair galleries for 2008 - it's interesting
to see the most clicked on styles that have been
inspiring visitors to our site throughout the
last year. Despite the continuing trend for curling
wands and tongs to dress hair up for the party
season - the nation's love affair with their favourite
pair of straighteners, means straight is still
the look for feeling good about your hair. Nearly
all the top viewed styles are straight or at most
sexily ruffled
Our Style Galleries have been viewed millions
of times, appealing to anyone wanting to choose
a new style; or find out what styles have won
the top competitions; or hairdressers looking
for inspiration and the latest trends.
The key elements to getting a hair style that
gives you that great confidence buzz and makes
you feel in control of your life are:
1/ Spend a bit of time choosing a style
that suits your face shape and type of hair. Look
through our Style
Gallery or have a play with our Virtual
Hair Styler, where you can upload your own
photo and try different styles.
2/ When you've made your choice, the single
most important thing you can do, is invest in
the best cut you can afford. A well-cut style
is worth its weight in gold - it will always speak
volumes, falling back into place easily, moving
and flowing, working with you not against you!
3/
Similarly, choose quality hair care products for
your hair type. These days there is an effective
product to help, which ever hair category you
find yourself in. There is no need to suffer with
limp, dry, greasy, flyaway, frizzy, heavy, lack
lustre, dandruff, colour loss or over processed
hair. Try and purchase a shampoo and conditioner
from the same |
|
range,
they will have been designed to work together and complement
each other.
4/
Extra tips for maintaining condition and glossy hair:
don't wash your hair when you shower, you will always
have the water much hotter than it should be, which
can cause extra frizziness and dulling of the hair.
Wash your hair separately and finish with a cool rinse,
as cold as you can stand - this helps the hair cuticles
to lie flat and smooth.
Remember to use a good thermal protector product when
styling with straighteners, curling wands and power
hair dryers.
Have a look at the top styles on this page, blonde,
brunette and red heads - long and short. The styles
have all been viewed thousands of times in our monthly
top 20 and show the developing trends over the last
year. The winning salon with the most views in each
category is framed in pink, viewing totals appear under
the salon names.
