UKHairdressers Style Gallery Award Winner 2011/12 is Headmasters, their men's style was viewed over 171,000 times and scoops the title of most popular style. Runner-up was Rush, coming top of the Long Dark styles and 3rd place went to Eric Stipa who came top in the Short Blonde category. Headmasters also win the most viewed Red Head style of the year.

Winning the Style Gallery Award is a great way for Headmasters to start the celebrations in their 30th year. They opened their first salon in Wimbledon Village in 1982, with just two stylists and one assistant.

The Headmasters philosophy combines premium hairdressing and optimum service, the company has now grown to 41 salons. All Headmasters branches carry the same atmosphere of contemporary elegance, making clients feel special from the moment they arrive.

The past three years Style Gallery Awards have been all about blondes, but this time the men's category has really caught the imagination, with male styles regularly featuring in the top 20 styles. Red heads too are having a lot more fun, last year's awards had just three hot red heads in the final, but this year there are a dozen great styles.

If you're looking for trends in 2012, the top styles featured below reveal the shape of hair to come. Predominantly straight, angular, longer front lengths with intricate detail in the layering and colour work. The long fringe is most definitely in, providing the finishing touch to many of the styles.
