Q: How did you get started
as a stylist? Who were your hair mentors in the hair industry?
A: “I started as a Junior in my local salon at 14 sweeping
hair and shampooing as soon as I was old enough at 16 I went
straight to London to work for John Frieda, during my training
and still now Joel Goncalves and Kevin Moss have been very
supportive and influential in me becoming a top hairdresser
and I learnt a lot about working on stage and in front of
audiences travelling and working with John Frieda launching
the products.”
Q:
If you hadn’t become a hairdresser,
which career would you have followed?
A: “I would have gone into property development with
my Dad or a stock broker.”
Q: What is the strangest
request you’ve received during your years in the hair industry?
A: “I’ve had to style hair for a fashion show in the

like to get your hands on and why?
A: “Katie Holmes now she’s split with Tom she needs

Q: There have been many
changes in hairdressing over the years. What in your opinion
is the best innovation and the worst?
A: “Tangle teezers and the Brazilian blow dry are great
inventions, not that anyone has them anymore, but someone
should have changed the smell of perms.”

be without?
A: “A real bristle brush and John Frieda Luxurious
Volume thickening lotion are a must for any kit.”

during your career styling for the stars?
A: “I have been flown all over the place including
Australia to blow dry and paint black eye liner in a guys
hair, he’d also try to make you his personal assistant and
get you to pack and carry his bags etc that I would mostly
refuse to do which ended in some interesting arguments.”
