Brazilian Blow
Dry Treatment - Tames the mane
Vikki - UKHairdressers
In early January of this year, I was fortunate enough to visit the Colour Nation
Salon based in the heart of Covent Garden, London - you can see my article on
this link:

Brad the stylist at Colour Nation carried out the Brazilian Blow Dry Treatment
on my unruly curly hair. The treatment was amazing and since then, I have saved
so much time, effort and money in not having to trip along to my local salon for
my weekly blow dry.
So much so that 4 months later, whilst my hair was still in good condition, I
couldn't wait to have the treatment done again.
Heskel
Salon
For this second treatment I visited the Heskel salon based in Mill Hill, where
I was warmly welcomed by Martin Heskel and his team.
Martin having worked in a hair and beauty environment for the last 12 years in
some of London's most prestigious areas felt inspired to open his own salons.
The first is located in Edgware town, and is equipped with a beauty room, his
second salon soon followed in Mill Hill, where clients can relax in a luxurious
and comfortable environment.
Martin has performed at the UK's biggest hair exhibition, Salon International
and has combined his cutting and colouring in many seminars and show work.
The treatment itself takes approximately 2 hours and
is simple. My hair was first washed in sulphate free
shampoo, before Martin applied a Keratin-rich solution
liberally to each section of my hair (Global Keratin).
He then blow dried my hair completely and continued
to seal the product into my hair using GHD hair irons.
The photos below show what the process involves, as Martin works his way through
the various stages.
After washing and drying, Vikki's hair is first sectioned, then Martin applies
the Keratin-rich solution thoroughly to each strand, working from the back of
the head to the front. Next, the hair is dried with a concentrator nozzle to seal
in the treatment.
Once the hair begins
to dry, Martin removes his gloves and uses a large flat brush to continue the
drying, sealing process on all the hair. Starting with the lower layers and moving
up to the top. Already you can see the transformation that has taken place as
Martin works his magic.
Then
Martin uses his trusty ghd's to finish styling and sealing
the Global Keratin treatment into Vikki's hair.
After
care
I had to leave my hair for three days before washing
or getting it wet and to be honest this was not such
an ordeal as after my first treatment, because I knew
that it was well worth the wait.
So three days later after washing my hair, again with
the special Sulphate free shampoo, which Martin supplied,
I was once again the proud owner of silky, glossy hair
and with little effort I can again achieve that 'just
stepped out of the salon' look. My friends and family
have all complimented me and have said that it looks
amazing.
The cost for the treatment at www.heskel.com
ranges from £125 and I can honestly say that it is well
worth every penny.
