As
the big day draws even closer we're
all running round chasing those
last minute gifts, or still searching
for that fabulous outfit for the
parties to come. I think M&S
have done up proud this year with
plenty of choices both in outfits
and really gorgeous accessories
that make fantastic gifts. I love
the choice of scarfs, bags and gloves
this year and will be filling several
peoples stockings with those and
I've even managed to sort people
out from Tesco this year!

They
have some really 'techie' type presents
ideal for men at good prices.
If you're on a budget this year,
have a browse through Primarks nightwear
range. Pyjamas and
|
|
dressing gowns always make a great
gift for female relations and their
price points are really great for
younger family members who aren't
necessarily concerned about investment
dressing.

If you need to buy for someone you
don't know all that well,new boyfriend's
mum for instance, then stick to
well known, recognizable brands.
Even small items from a quality
range will be well received. A soap
from one of the French brands for
instance,
|
|
or
a layer of Thorntons chocolates. Avoid
buying perfume unless you're sure
of their preference, perfume is an
extremely personal choice and what
you find divine might be someone else's
nightmare. | |
If you
like to give fragrance then opt
for a beautiful fragranced candle from
Yankee Candles, which again will be recognized
as quality.
Many shops are offering personalized gifts,
from chocolate to baubles, which shows
thoughtfulness. Remember pens and bookmarks,
especially initialed ones are always useful
stocking fillers.
If
you're giving money this year, perhaps
to a teenager, try to add a touch
of though by wrapping a little differently
- a little circle of netting with
pound coins inside tied up with
a little ribbon and Chrismassy tag
looks cute and is less likely to
go astray amongst wrapping paper
debris than an envelope with |
|
a note in. Or give money in an inexpensive
little silver or gold purse. In fact my
sons favourite present is a new wallet
full of a variety of notes and coins -
it makes him feel rich for a day.
|
If
you're really stuck for gran, why
not treat her to a voucher from
her favourite hairdresser that she
can use whenever she feels like
it, or a manicure, maybe not something
she would treat herself to. For
elderly or infirm relatives, pay
and arrange a mobile hairdresser
or manicurist to visit for a lovely
Christmas treat. |
Pre
teen-age boys will always make use
of a new leather football complete
with football pump and goalie gloves
- I bought all these together for
just £10 at Sports Direct!
For little token gifts, maybe someone
who's helped you out, walked the
dog, watered your plants etc. a
couple of lottery tickets presented
in a Christmas card is an exciting
gift which could turn out to be
a real winner!

|
I'm
including these as stocking fillers this
year for all the men in my family as I
always find them the most difficult for
small items. Whatever you decide to choose,
do your best with the wrapping, as half
the pleasure is in the presentation and
even the smallest presents can look amazing
with a bit of creativity
Have a good one,
