I've
already bought my quota of new perfumes
for this year
but I'm going to have to add another.
I'm absolutely raving over Jimmy Choo's
fragrance at the moment and want it desperately!
I first tried it only a week ago and I
was instantly in love.
I
have to admit that I rarely go for 'celebrity'
perfumes as I find them a little samey
and a bit disappointing. I know I'm quite
hard to please perfume-wise and take a
long time to find something that really
grabs me. In fact I make a point of trying
two different fragrances most times I
pop to the High Street, just to see what's
out there but as soon as I came across
this one I knew it was for me. As I never
purchase on 'first whiff', I continue
to re-sniff the perfume at various times
during the day to examine it as it develops
and to test its longevity.
I loved this one at every sniff and was
delighted with how long it lasted. In
fact a good tip is to spray the perfume
on the inside of your jacket cuff - that
way you can re-visit it over the next
few days just to make sure. I've spent
most of this week lifting my coat sleeve
up to my nose to enjoy this amazing scent
and I definitely know it's for me. In
fact I'm so taken, with it I want the
shower gel and body lotion to layer up
with.
As I don't actually own any of Jimmy's
footwear creations I will be perfectly
happy with this for a substitute. If you
are thinking of indulging too then Boots
have got some fabulous extra advantage
card points on this range at the moment.
At
the other end of the spectrum I'm
also loving, my Johnsons Baby products
again just now. I don't know what it is
about summer but I always do seem to get
into this perennial favourite. I've always
loved the smell of Johnsons, there's something
so pure and pretty about it that on the
days when you just want to smell clean
and cute I always reach for it.
My two favourites at the moment are the
2 in 1 bubble bath and wash, (the one
in the peach bottle) which smells absolutely
divine, soft peachy apply tones that take
you right back to when you were a little
girl, and I love the baby softwash, which
has the traditional Johnsons lotion smell
and smells like every new baby you ever
met.
In hot weather I'm still a fan of a light
dusting of talcum powder before bed and
Johnsons talc just puts you in a happy
place. And if you're young enough not
to need anti-ageing face potions, then
Johnsons Baby Lotion makes a lovely face
cleanser. Don't use it around the eyes
or to remove eye make-up, but it's okay
as your morning cleanser. Follow with
one of their light moisturizers for a
simple, easy on the pocket routine.
