This
season, look out for the new 'trapeze'
shaped tops which
are so flattering. I've actually
invested in a couple myself and
love the shape they create.
Fitted at the shoulders, the generous
triangular shape skims over the
bust and is fuller at the hips,
hiding any lumps and bumps, back
fat or belly rolls! I actually love
the look on skinnier people like
me too, as they suggest a shape
underneath - they suit large and
small alike.
The shape works particularly well
in jersey fabrics with a hint of
stretch, particularly those designed
with an inverted pleat on the back
- again giving a nice shape on the
shoulder blades then falling away
to the waistline or hip giving the
illusion of length not width.
Team this shape up with either palazzo
or boot cut trousers to create symmetry.
