Are
you in the mood yet? I'm feeling
really Christmassy all of a sudden. I've
made a good start with my shopping and
parcels are arriving left, right and centre,
L'Occitane, Molton Brown, Liz Earle -
all my usual favourites that my family
have come to expect.
I've
actually chosen the gorgeous GHD Midnight
collection from here at UK Hairdressers
as a gift to myself. I've bought straighteners
for several of my nieces and teenage nephews
actually who are really getting into styling
their hair.
My
great niece will be thrilled with the
TI Tatoo stylers which are really 'arty',
just like her. These are also going to
the two boys who want hair straighteners
as the graffiti style is unisex.
My
pretty girly niece is having the pink
plaid mini's, she's only eleven but her
mum will supervise her, they are absolutely
ideal as a first pair of stylers.
I've remembered to include heat protective
mats with each gift so no burnt floorboards!
I'm
doing most of my shopping on the net
again this year as I found it so much
easier these past few years, less stressful
and far more enjoyable than frantically
pushing and shoving in the crowded shops.
I do like to buy wrapping paper and bows
etc., in the shops as I like as little
of the atmosphere without the worry of
finding gifts.
I've also found some really beautiful
handmade items from soaps to chocolate
to cards. I've even placed an order for
some gorgeous cupcakes to be delivered
to a friend that I won't see until after
Christmas. Freshly made and delightfully
boxed and ribboned I know my friend will
be thrilled.
I'm
busy writing my own list as my loved ones
prefer a few helpful hints, which already
includes some fabulously furry Emu slippers
and my favourite Yankee Candles. Of course
Thorntons Chocolates are always on my
list and Christmas wouldn't be the same
without new PJ's.
I'm still hoping to get to one of the
great Christmas markets up and down the
country and I already have tickets to
two Carol Concerts where I'll be singing
all my favourites I hope.
If you fancy a stress free Christmas then
really do consider shopping on the internet,
it's so hassle free and I'm sure like
me you'll be a convert
