Have you been on the
High Street lately?
Well I have and even on a dark, miserable January
morning I should have taken my sunglasses! Almost
every window and interior was filled with the brightest
most garish colours imaginable! Greys, tweeds and
neutrals have certainly been given their marching
orders and have been replaced with bright orange,
citrus yellow, cerise, bold turquoise and so on.
Anyone afraid of colour in their wardrobe will have
a hard time spending any money this spring, as will
I. Although I dont mind a splash of colour in the
warmer months, I must admit to preferring subtle shades
and find these really bold colours very unflattering
on most tones of skin.

I suppose Ill have to take comfort in the assurances
of the fashion designers that white will be a key
colour again this year, thank goodness. Somehow I
just cant see myself in peacock blue, emerald green
or paint-box purple so for now, my purse is staying
firmly in my handbag!
